Air Filtration and Dust Extraction Consumables
At Aqua (Scotland) Ltd have extended our supply line services. We can supply all air filtration and dust extraction consumables to ensure essential equipment is operating as efficiently as possible. This will ensure organisations meet their legal obligations under Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH), Safety & Welfare Regulations 1992 and the Health and Safety at work etc. Act 1974.
Air Quality
The quality of air we breathe is affected by many factors that will directly affect our health. In the place of work, where we spend a significant proportion of our time, we may be affected by a variety of air pollutants. Depending on the working environment airborne particulate will be a concern for employers and employees from both a welfare and legislative perspective.
Dust Extraction
Air quality at the place of work will be affected by poorly maintained ventilation (LEV), emissions from electrical equipment, carpet fibres, sprays and dust and is often identified as sick building syndrome. Additionally dust settlement can cause damage to sensitive equipment, or deterioration in the presence of certain goods.
Health & Safety Law
The Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Health, Safety & Welfare Regulations 1992 place an obligation on employers to maintain the right working environment for staff, and this includes air quality. Additionally, under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH), employers carrying out industrial processes are responsible for carrying out risk assessments to ensure adequate indoor air quality. Failure to comply may lead to prosecution or costly litigation with potential damage to the finances and reputation of any company.
